Change the clinic, rescue, or breeder name

It is not possible to change the clinic, rescue, or breeder information associated with your pet's microchip (it can only be updated to another partner organization). 

The prioritization of contact information in the database typically follows specific protocols and policies set by our system. Generally, the primary contact information associated with a microchip is that of the pet owner, which in this case would be your details. However, it's essential to clarify that while your name and contact information can be the primary point of contact, the breeder, rescue, or vet clinic's details are also maintained as part of the pet's record for reference and backup purposes. In the event your pet is found and taken to a clinic or checked by a shelter, the standard procedure is to first contact the pet owner using the information in the database.

Verify and Update Your Contact Details: Regularly check and update your contact information in the microchip database.

Confirm with the Microchip Registry: Contact the microchip registration company to confirm that your information is listed as the primary contact.
