Information regarding the storage and display of breeder information in our system:
1. Microchip Information: The microchip itself does not store breeder information. It is important to understand that the microchip only contains a unique 15-digit identification number.
2. Online Database: All relevant details, including the information of registered breeders, are securely stored in our online database. Breeders who sign up for a Breeder Account with us will have their names displayed on the pet's public page.
3. Transparency and Contact Information: Displaying the breeder's name and contact information on the pet's public page provides transparency and allows pet owners and others to easily access this information, serving as an added emergency contact.
4. Breeder vs. Pet Owner: Breeders who are not registered with a Breeder Account will have their information considered as a pet owner within our database. They will be unable to transfer their microchips to new owners.
5. Microchip Transfer: When a microchip is transferred to new owners and they add their information, their details become the primary information associated with the microchip. However, the original breeder and pet owner information remains available in our online database for reference and historical purposes.
