For Rescues, Breeders, Clinics only

Last Update một tháng trước
To transfer a microchip to a new owner, you must have an account type that allows transfers, such as a rescue, breeder, or clinic account. If you only have a pet owner account, you can update only your own contact information.
Steps to Reassign a Microchip
2. Select “My Microchips” from the left-side menu. On mobile, tap the three-line menu icon in the top right corner first.
3. Click the row for the microchip you want to edit.
4. Confirm that you have opened the correct microchip, then select “Primary Owner.”
5. In the “Primary Owner” section, delete the current owner’s email address. The rest of the owner fields will disappear.
6. Enter the new owner’s email address in the “Primary Owner Email” field. The fields will reappear blank, unless the new owner already has an account, in which case their details may automatically populate.
7. Enter or confirm the new owner’s information, then click “Save Changes.”
8. An email will be sent to the new owner letting them know the microchip has been registered to them.
9. The microchip has now been reassigned.
Need a Transfer-Capable Account?
If you plan to register multiple microchips over time, we recommend applying for a breeder or rescue account. This type of account makes it easier for your organization to transfer microchips to new owners.
