Transferring Microchips from One Clinic/Breeder/Rescue to Another

Log in to Your Account

• Access the Insight Microchips dashboard by logging in with your credentials.
• Navigate to the "My Microchips" section by clicking on it in the top navigation bar.

Select the Microchip to Transfer

• In the "My Microchips" section, you will see a list of all microchips associated with your account.
• Find the microchip you want to transfer and click the "Edit" button next to it.

Update Microchip Information

• A new window will appear with the microchip's details.
• Under the "Microchip Information" tab, confirm the microchip number and tag number.
• Update the "Clinic/Rescue/Breeder" field to reflect the new clinic, breeder, or rescue that will be taking over the registration.

Acknowledge Transfer

• Before saving the changes, you must acknowledge that you will lose access to the microchip after transferring it.
• Check the box next to "I acknowledge I will lose access to this microchip on save."

Save Changes

• Once you’ve verified all the details and acknowledged the transfer, click the "Save" button to complete the process.

Confirmation

• After saving, you will receive an email confirming that the microchip has been successfully transferred to the new clinic, breeder, or rescue.
